New Prosperity means thinking about others as well as yourself

Old books on prosperity reflected thinking and attitudes of the time. Nowadays, ideas about prosperity are different because we see the world and our place in it differently.

In old books prosperity was all about the individual getting rich. There were a lot less people around then, there was less demand on resources and also less of an impact on the planet. For instance, there was no plastic if you can imagine that (and somehow, life still went on). There were less cars so there was less need for oil. There were no computers so there was no need for energy hungry computer servers for an internet.

Now we know that there are finite resources on this planet. We know that we have impact on the natural world. We know now that how we treat the natural world, ends up affecting us, because we live in a closed system we call Earth. It’s not hard to figure out.

In years gone by it was harder to assess the weather and predict with accuracy what the weather was going to be. Now, we can model the weather with powerful computers. The science of meteorology has developed a long way which means we can predict more accurately the weather, and we have more up-to-the-minute information on weather. So we now have more awareness of the weather than in those times gone by. We notice more the weather patterns and the kinds of weather events that happen. We notice the effect we have on the air and oceans and how there is much more energy in global weather systems than before, and how this changes the weather and affects us.

We have become better at understanding systems, which can be weather systems, financial systems, and economic systems where the resources are not abundant. We recognise that what happens in a distant part of the world can affect us. We recognise what happens in our country and our local area affects us, and in return we may be able to affect them.

We are able to see the bigger picture and our place in it. We can know about the systems that affect us and which we can in turn, affect. If all parts of a system are doing OK then we can get to do OK. If one or more parts of a system are not doing well, then at some point this will affect us.

Here’s an example. We all use banks and there is a banking system. If the customers of one bank start taking out their money then the bank might not survive, and this can severely damage other banks and financial markets, and sometimes other banks then go out of business even in other countries, affecting their customers.

In an inter-related system, all parts have to be reasonably healthy or else the whole system suffers, which affects all concerned prosperity wise.

So these days, we can focus on our own prosperity for sure, but we also have to bear in mind the prosperity of those around us. The wellbeing of all involved in the systems that touch us ends up at some point influencing our prosperity. If a system becomes too damaged it can fail, affecting ourselves and others. Actually, there are a number of interacting systems, which end up affecting each other.

Here’s some examples. In the UK, the attempted invasion of a country, Ukraine by Russia about one and a half thousand miles away affected our energy prices. So we are paying the energy companies more. They are taking advantage of the situation and so, people have less money to spend on other things. So other areas of the economy are negatively affected, and businesses can go out of business, and the price of other goods goes up, increasing inflation. So an energy company executive, though they might be given a bonus as profits are up, they end up paying more for food, and due to inflation, the value of their savings goes down, and to top it all, their favourite restaurant has to close (for example).

Being greedy affects the interacting systems in a negative way, which comes back to affect us, and that is not being prosperous.

We live in an international interconnected world. In fact, our modern world is perhaps too interconnected and fragile.

We can be prosperous for ourselves, but we rely on our local community, and national and international communites. It really helps to support others to be prosperous. Would you rather live in a community with a lot of prosperity and all the benefits that brings, usually in an attractive place, or would you rather be one of the few prosperous people around in a run-down looking place with a less well off population?

I’m trying to suggest here that it is good to think about yourself, yes, but putting out prosperity thoughts, energy and actions for others, say, starting in the local community, is a good thing for all including yourself.

I have seen examples of this. In one village, I saw how the community had got together to create a hydroelectricity scheme to provide energy for homes and businesses. This meant they were less reliant on the energy companies that have been happy to charge more. They also planted communal orchards. Some good will, choosing to work with supportive people, innovation and intelligent action are great for all in a community, as is taking back power from those people who would exploit you. Behaving like this increases your prosperity and the prosperity of others.

I wonder if these people will set up their own bank next?

All souls come from God, and as souls, we are all part of the Oversoul, the collective Up in the inner planes. This is an aspect of our Divine Home, where there is a vast amount of Light and Love.

This Light and Love is something that can be reflected down here, but for the most part, it isn’t. What we have had is the spirits of selfishness, greed, desire for power, and fear, and perhaps hatred. For many people, though not all, these energies, these spirits are part of their energetic makeup, and influence how they think and act. Even in countries where there is awareness of karma many people will act in ways that are less than loving. But there is a price for everything.

Now with more Love and Light pouring in, things are changing. These means that some people will have in them energies or spirits that are more Love-based and positive and for the Higher. So there is less selfishness and instead there is generosity and goodwill. There is more a sense of respect for others and for Nature and the environment. There is more the spirit of responsibility.

For a soul, this is a good thing. In karma, there is balance, carried out by the Law of Opposites. So if someone has a lifetime where they are very wealthy, and their soul has the experience of a personality down in matter living and learning from a life of wealth, the next lifetime, the soul gets a life of poverty to experience and learn from the opposite, as a balancing experience.

Sometimes a wealthy person can considers that a poor person is not worthy of help, and that it’s their karma to experience that life. But maybe it is appropriate to help them. Does one’s thoughts and actions come from a place of selfishness and greed, and sense of superiority (which doesn’t make sense because we are all part of the same Oversoul), or do our thoughts and actions come from a place of love and a desire to do the Higher actions?

Sometimes helping someone might be robbing that person of the experience they need and it gets shoved onto another lifetime, in which case no help is best. Sometimes helping them by sharing one’s prosperity of time and / or money might be the right thing. You can usually tell. An action done from a feeling of guilt is generally not the right action. If helping someone comes from love, you feel it in your heart, and you know it is the right thing to do. Karmically, you are doing the right thing, and karmically, they are doing the right thing by receiving the assistance. Its like there is a connection, soul to soul, and you feel it, because your true nature is Love.

There are wealthy people around who are generous and help others and they will end up with future lives that reflect the love. However, there may be philanthropy because the wealthy person wants to look good in the eyes of society. They are in effect trying to buy respect and prestige, so the aim is essentially selfish and without love, and the next lifetime or lifetimes will be a bit rough as karma is balanced. The soul doesn’t mind however, as it is just experience of one life out of a great many, and what needs to be learnt, needs to be learnt. Doesn’t mean to say it is enjoyable for the personality though. When you know about this, it’s a bit more incentive to learn about being loving.

As more Light and Love comes into humanity, it is becoming easier for more loving energy, spirit and inspiration to come in to influence our thinking, actions and prosperity, so we can not only improve matters for ourselves, but also for those around us and our communities, and for the planet we call home.

There are plenty of ideas available, like bubbles of energy, waiting for people to touch and absorb. So a bit of spiritual prosperity practice can open up brand new timelines for oneself and others.

Begin to change your thoughts, begin to change your life

Imagine this scenario, a soul is taking a well earned breather having completed a life incarnated in physical life as a person. They are discussing with the Higher Self and guides their next lifetime. “Well, I have this karma to go through and balance and some to possibly create. I would like to have these kinds of experience to build up my overview of life so I want this to happen and I’m going to need some thoughts to go with it. What do you think?”

Each lifetime a person has is different, and with different thoughts to go with their unique experiences. As a personality there will bits of life we enjoy and bits we don’t like. For the soul, it is experience that helps it grow in consciousness. For one soul, through many lifetimes, that means they have many personalities. So in one life, the soul can have a life as a royal person and have the personality and thoughts that go with that experience, along with one or two problems to make life interesting. In the next life, the soul might want to be a different gender, living an unexciting life (to the personality) in a small town in the middle of nowhere. They will have the thoughts to go with that, along with the appropriate karma.

The karma is there for a reason, and so too are the thoughts.

The thoughts get amplified and built on in life. A baby will be born in a particular setting, with particular people around, with a certain culture and ways of thinking and doing. They will also treat the baby a certain way, reinforcing the thoughts the child has subconsciously.

As the child grows up in a particular setting, while the aura and chakras are easily impressed upon, with people treating them and talking to them in a particular way, and as they experience life, the child will take all of this on. They will hold certain unconscious thoughts about themselves, about other people, about relationships and about various aspects of life. They will also hold some conscious thoughts about all this that they think about.

This unconscious and conscious learning from life’s experiences can keep going even through adult life.

The thoughts a person has about themselves from all this absorbing and conscious and unconscious learning affects what that person thinks they are capable of doing, how they should expect to be treated, and what they deserve in life. These thoughts affect how much that person likes themselves and loves themselves, and how capable they are of looking after themselves.

The thoughts affect how they behave not only towards themselves, but how they behave towards others, and what their expectations are like in relationships. Their thoughts affect what they think life is like, which affects how they approach life.

All areas of a person’s life are affected by their subconscious and conscious thoughts.

There can come a time when part of the karmic set up of a soul, is for the person to find out that thoughts can be changed. (Like now.)

Though a person might have had a very tough time (thank you soul!) this lifetime (and a cushy one before!), thoughts can be improved.

This means how a person likes and loves themselves can be improved, which means they can look after themselves better. They can think themselves capable of more than they did before, which alters their expectations and their behaviour, which ends up bringing about a happier, more fulfilling life.

Their relationships can improve as they have better expectations and standards of how people treat them, and they behave better towards others.

Thoughts can improve in all areas of life, literally then bringing about a better life, as good quality thoughts are followed up by the right actions to bring them to fruition.

There are steps to bring about a change in thoughts. Though there may be some other issues that it can be helpful to take a look at as well, such as energy, aura and chakras.

I mentioned earlier about the child having an aura and chakras, and that energy both negative and positive can be impressed into them. As this is about improving, let’s assume that the input of energy has been negative, as negative mental energy, emotional energy and possibly negative physical energy. This can come about by being on the receiving end of critical or abusive words and treatment, or by neglect, or by physical abuse. Also, just by living and being places it is very possible to pick up negative energy. (Sometimes a place can be described as being a bit of a dive, for instance.)

This can also go on in teenage and adult life (including through online experiences).

The chakras and aura can carry this negative energy throughout life, and negative energy can be stored in the body too.

That’s bad news, and it is also good news because it means something can be done about it. There are ways to clear the chakras. It might take time but it is worth it. There are ways to clear the aura as well. There are meditation techniques for this and healing methods. For easily shifted energy, exercise and being out in Nature are simple ways to shift negative energy. For stickier, deeper negative energy, healing techniques are one option.

Years ago I found deep tissue massage, which I’d say was a bit painful at some points, really helped to shift negative energy held in the body. I found out later there are some gentler techniques, though once the negative energy is gone, it’s gone.

Along with clearing the negative energy, which links to the thoughts, and thoughts in chakras and aura itself, it is easily possible to then button up and protect the chakras and aura.

Daily cleaning the chakras and aura with a simple meditation, and then buttoning up and protecting them is a great thing to do. You clean your teeth, and it is a good idea to clean chakras and aura as well, and this can really lift your mood.

Now about the thoughts.

Sometimes the soul decides to give the personality a rough time so that the person at some point decides to sort themselves out and change all kinds of things about their lives, including their thoughts. Through this experience the personality gets stronger and the soul gets spiritual brownie points for getting the personality to do something. Then that person is in a position to help others. It’s training and strengthening.

Sometimes a person has strongly negative thoughts about themselves, and about other issues in life. Starting with thoughts about oneself is the key place to start as this brings about the biggest change. Let’s see what can be done.

Imagine someone you think of as being absolutely amazing. It can be a musician, a singer, a sports star for instance, or a writer or artist. The thoughts just thinking about them can go something like; “Wow, they are amazing, utterly wonderful, such a nice person, really talented”, and so on. Your eyes light up as you think or talk about them and you’ll have a big smile on your face, and possibly your body language will come alive, and your chakras will light up.

Now, can you think the same kind of thoughts and have the same kinds of emotions about yourself?

If not, you know what kind of thoughts about yourself to aim for.

Imagine thoughts about yourself are on a set of stairs. At the top are the kind of thoughts described above. Right down on the bottom step the kind of thoughts someone might have are to do with self-disgust and self-hatred, and other thoughts are on the steps in between the top and bottom. A person might think to themselves that these thoughts are so bad that they might as well not try. They get depressed even thinking about their thoughts. (Been there.) Sometimes it is hard to even imagine thinking amazing thoughts about oneself, so intermediary thoughts can be used to take a step up. In a situation when the thoughts are really negative and crippling I would suggest some counselling or therapy that focuses on verbally expressing the thoughts and then dealing with the emotional energy. Dealing with the emotions is important. You can still work on the thoughts yourself if you wish.

Otherwise, if the thoughts are down towards the bottom of the stairs the first step is going to be self-forgiveness and reconciliation with oneself, plus possibly forgiveness of others. (Forgiveness is explained in another article.)

The next step, would be to use positive affirmations which are positive thoughts we repeatedly think, say and write to affirm them. Typically, an affirmation could be written out 10 times. Three times in the first person, “I” form. Three times in the second person “You” form as if someone was saying it to you. Three times in the third person as if someone was saying it about you, and another in the first person.

A basic starting point would be to start by saying you are willing. For example, I (your name) am willing to appreciate myself, and I (your name) am willing to love myself. You may find this too weak and so you move on to the next step. Otherwise, you could write this 10 times, breathing as you do, and if any mental comments are triggered and come to light, write them down. The breathing helps to shift energy so you can get rid of it. You could write a set of these affirmations once a day for a couple of weeks or until the affirmation feels true to you.

The next step goes from being willing to; I (your name) appreciate myself, and I (your name) love myself completely.

Depending on what was going on what thoughts about yourself you have inside you, you could work with thought like:

I (your name) am good enough, I (your name) am innocent, I (your name) am loving, I (your name) am loveable…attractive…wonderful…beautiful…capable…talented…clever enough…valuable…worthwhile. Or, I (your name) am good at … .

If you were shut down by others or trauma, you could try; I (your name) have a right to express myself, I (your name) express myself clearly / happily / with confidence. You choose the ending.

The thoughts you have about yourself are just thoughts, and you can think new ones if you choose to.

You can work with more than one thought if you want.

A good milestone is when you can think and affirm several positive thoughts altogether so you have a statement like; I (your name) am good enough, I am strong enough, I am attractive and what I express is worth hearing.

Put in your own adjectives. You can affirm this, and you can also put it on a card in places you will see it to affirm it. Visualise yourself like this repeatedly, daily if you can. Then you can be rating yourself just as highly as that talented person you thought about earlier in this article.

(There’s an article on forgiveness earlier in the blog.)

Karma, love and relationships

On social media there are posts from people who want a loving relationship, and they want to meet their Twin Flame, or their Soulmate. These are fairly recent fashionable labels in the history of spirituality. (It needs also to be said that some people are happy not being in a relationship and have no interest or need for one.)

The idea is that with a Twin Flame or Soulmate everything is going to be perfect. The connection is going to be deep, loving, spiritual and mystical, and give the person who wants this kind of relationship everything they want, when they want it, and how they want it. They are going to be so happy. All the time.

Sounds realistic?

It can be interesting to look at relationships through the lens of reincarnation and karma.

Before reincarnating back into the physical, a person will have gone through and reviewed their last life. With the help of spiritual helpers on the inner planes, and perhaps their guide, and possibly a spiritual Master, they will have a look at what they need to learn to develop spiritually. The spiritual helpers, the guide and any Master will be looking at the big picture which may include millions of lives into the future. They will help choose the karma for the next lifetime. They will help choose the karma that person will have including the karma to do with love and relationships. The aim of reincarnating time and again is to learn, develop understanding through experience, and so develop consciousness and become more loving. Life is a school. The spiritual helpers, guide and Master will help choose the gender and the personality to wear for the next lifetime. (You have many personalities through all the lifetimes and usually alternate gender according to the Law of Opposites).

There will be people in the person’s soul family that they tend to come down with into matter. They will come down at the same time to play their part in life. They will have the ideal karma, gender and personality to learn from as they come down as well.

The people you find around you have incarnated before with you, sometimes they have done this many times. Everyone plays different roles in different lifetimes, so two people will be siblings, parents, children, grandparents, friends and enemies. Many permutations of relationships get explored and karma either created or worked through.

When people reincarnate into physical reality again they (usually) go through amnesia so they don’t remember what was said on the inner planes and they don’t recall their last life. The amnesia helps because people just get on with life rather than have information and energy bleeding in that could interfere.

It’s all karma. Two of these people who came down round about at the same time will meet, gaze into each other’s eyes, fall in love and have plenty of energy going forwards and backwards between their chakras as their karma plays out and they form a shared timeline. It’s the best relationship ever, they think. It is not uncommon for two people to be married in past lives say twenty or thirty or so times. They really help each other learn about love and grow bit by bit in love and consciousness through those lifetimes.

Life, and karma is about learning, developing understanding through experience and then growing in consciousness and becoming more loving. The karma someone has, or two people have, may be just to have one relationship for that life. Possibly a very long relationship, where the personalities the souls are wearing match well, and where the personalities help them learn to love each other more.

The karma a person has may be for more than one relationship, perhaps several with all the other souls in the soul family that came down at about the same time. More than one relationship can be a preparation for the special, important relationship of that lifetime; people in the soul family help in the preparation for it.

There are so many different kinds of relationships, and so much to learn about love. It is worth remembering that the different scenarios are agreed Upstairs on the inner planes for each lifetime. Perhaps there was agreement Upstairs that when the two souls were in physical matter they would love each other and have a harmonious relationship, or perhaps they wanted to learn about making up after arguments, or they wanted to learn about self-love and get out of an abusive relationship, perhaps they wanted to learn how to forgive, or how to be compassionate, or selfless, or completely devoted, or mutually supportive and strong as a couple. Perhaps there is a need to learn (possibly lifetime after lifetime) how to look after the same person through terminal illness, or help them through addiction. Perhaps the relationship for one soul is to learn how to let in love, or to love.

Learning about love is definitely not always easy on the personality, even if there is a gradual increase in ability to love, and in consciousness along the way.

There is a difference between being in a relationship to get love and to let in love. There is also a big difference to getting love and being in a relationship to give love and be loving (though not at the expense of themselves, the exception being when one soul so loves another soul that they are willing to sacrifice their own physical existence to protect and save the other person).

Happy love and relationships.

Being Peaceful, Having Peace

As I started to think about Peace and started to explore the idea of Peace from different angles I saw a simple approach to it, and also realised how complex the issue could be if you wanted to look beneath the surface of the simple approach. Then beneath the complexity I was aware of a deeper spiritual nature of Peace.

How much peace we have in our life is based on a state of heart and then mind in how we relate to the world. (It’s always best if mind follows heart). Looking at the newsthere seems to be  a lot of turbulence and apparent craziness in the lives of people around the world. I can understand this from a spiritual perspective. There are old, old law timelines fragmenting and ending as a huge amount of spiritual light has been pouring into the planet. This spiritual energy has really sped things up.

A lot of old energy is being cleaned up, a lot of old karma, personal karma, group karma, regional karma, national karma and planetary karma is being brought up to the surface and balanced and resolved. It’s like clearing up the old karma to allow a new, clearer karma for life to be better. The news and people’s lives pretty much reflects what the process of balancing karma looks like. It is chaotic and painful often, and life changing. Balancing negative national karma between countries can end up as war, or economic war, cyber warfare or on a positive level it can be negotiation. However things happen, karma will be balanced.

As karma is got rid of, then the timelines of what has been established in the past fragment and disappear or improve. So the timeline of a bank or an oil company or other organisation ends and the organisation disappears into history. In fact history shows us that nothing lasts for ever and that cities, cultures, religions and ways of living and doing things have come and gone. Historical change doesn’t affect us emotionally. Change going on right now can feel up close and personal.

Change is a fact of life, driven by spiritual energies to keep on developing by clearing away the old energy and bringing in the new, cycle after cycle.

This destruction of old things and old ways can be thought of as the effect of Shiva energy, or the destroyer aspect of God clearing out the old, to make way for the new.

The spiritual energy coming in at the moment is also birthing the new. This is the creator energy of God. In time, what is created now will also need to be cleared and replaced by something better.

Right now, there are new concepts, new organisations, new technologies, new changes in the centres or chakras and the auras of people happening, and new timelines being birthed. There is new karma coming in with new opportunities and new ways of being and of doing things coming in.

In the midst of these changes there is a preserver aspect to God’s energy and so what needs to be here as far as God is concerned is preserved and maintained by this energy.

Trying to stay on and old timeline and hang on to an old way of thinking, of living or of doing things will work less and less as the incoming spiritual energy shreds the old timelines. Trying to hold on to old ways is a sure way to be unhappy.

At this moment in time, and for the foreseeable future, there is going to be turmoil while old karma is cleared up sufficiently to create a clear present and future without the drag of the past. The way to be happy is to let go of old timelines and get on the new one, and as the phrase goes, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. Why? Because when the Avatar was down here last all the decisions for the next three thousand years were made, and the timelines for the next one thousand two hundred years were set in place. It all comes down to trusting God, trusting that God has the best and most loving future in mind for all souls, who are all part of God in any case, and listening in to God through meditation or intuition about what needs to be done.

So though life might seem chaotic, turbulent, and unpredictable, and though we might hear, or see things in life and on the television or Internet that seem crazy, trusting, not worrying, and listening in or intuiting what needs to be done in life is one key to peace. God is in each and every one of us and we have a direct line to God, and high quality guides are available now to help out, though they usually help us to be self-reliant rather than weaken us through dependency. So we can feel the love of God, and the peace of God within us, and trust our feelings to know when we are on track or not.

No one ever got peace by running away from life. By that I mean the peace you get by being able to live with yourself. The turbulent, crazy, chaotic nature of life is throwing up in our faces situations and problems for others as well as ourselves where we might feel a sense of injustice or know something isn’t right. It might be something that is happening to us, or something happening to people halfway around the planet, or something happening to other living creatures or the environment.

We can choose to pay attention to the sense of wrongness or injustice that we feel and try to do something to set the situation right. We know that ignoring the wrongness won’t help us have a sense of inner peace, in fact it will stop us feeling that peace, and so we have to do what feels right to us deep down in our hearts.

Every situation is different, though for every situation we can meditate on our heart, feel the love, firstly offer up the situation (literally visualize it if it can be seen or as a coloured ball of energy being offered up in our hands or on a tray to God), ask for help to understand the situation and to be shown the truth of it, and then ask for guidance as to what step or steps need to be done to play our part in setting things right. We can also ask for assistance in dealing with the situation. a situation might trigger powerful emotions. If working through emotions and  forgiveness needs to happen we can ask to be shown how to do this, though action may still need to be taken to resolve a situation. (Energetically, resolution usually happens in more effective ways if forgiveness is a part of the process rather than if anger is the dominant emotion). Resolution and peace is a good outcome.

Resolving a situation may take a simple email or conversation, or it could take years or decades to set things right. If it is a long process, keep meditating, keep offering each step up in a loving way.

Spirituality is practical and there is often a physical result, a change for the better. Spirituality is about bringing more love, peace, harmony and beauty into the world and Universe in whatever way we can do that. Spirituality is very much about doing what is right in our hearts (rather than doing nothing).

On a personal level, saying to someone that in order to have peace all you have to do is close your eyes, take a few breathes, and put your attention on the middle of your chest where your heart centre is for twenty minutes and meditate, can work fine.

But what if someone had a traumatic childhood, or were abused or neglected or exploited someway, or had something awful happen to them at some point, or saw something that marked them, or they have something like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or depression?

Meditation would help for sure, but a clairvoyant look at their aura, and their centres or chakras would show the damage and indicate the healing and therapy they would require which would take time. Peace might be a long time coming. The peace would always be there in their heart centres, and head centres, it’s just the emotions and scars can intrude or stop people being aware of peace. The emotions and scars need to be healed.

As an aside, we will all have had many lives (if you accept reincarnation of the soul into physical form as true). The soul likes experience and isn’t that fussed if it is enjoyable or painful to the personality as it goes through karma. It is all experience and data for the soul to understand what life involves so it can increase its consciousness. Here’s an analogy. When we dream, what happens in the dream can seem good or bad. When we wake up, we are fine. People say we are living in an Illusion from a spiritual point of view. The soul comes from Reality, and comes into the Illusion called Creation. The soul projects some of itself and its energy into its incarnation in the Illusion, lifetime after lifetime, each time building more consciousness. When a physical form the soul inhabits dies as the soul removes its energy, the soul is still in existence. The soul doesn’t die. Then it reincarnates again. The soul keeps reincarnating until it literally wakes up and realises its Real nature, which is part of God, and the Illusion is no longer important. A soul has to go through this process in Illusion to realise this though. The waking up part happens with the help of a Perfect Master. For some people it happens to the soul while it is in a physical body, and the soul has been usually on the sixth plane of consciousness. (See earlier blogs about the Planes of Consciousness.) So they have Enlightenment about what they really are, and what life really is; Life is Illusion and they experience themselves as Real, if it is happening to them consciously, that is. People lower down the planes might get revelations and shifts in their awareness, but it’s not Enlightenment.

The point is the soul never dies and always exists.

So we will all have had lifetimes where there has been pain and hurt, physically, emotionally and mentally. Though in this lifetime we might feel fine. We also will have had pleasureable lives. It balances out.

So anyway, we are in Illusion until such a lifetime as we have Realisation. Up until that point, how to have peace?

If we are thinking angry and negative thoughts, and feeling angry and negative then we won’t have peace. Part of spirituality is thinking positive and loving thoughts (or having a totally silent mind which takes some doing), and feeling loving and feeling positive. About everything or at least about as much as we can about life.

When we see or hear something and think about it unconsciously, and consciously, we do it through our minds. Minds tend to be limited and process information in ways that depend on how the mind has developed. Minds don’t know everything, and don’t actually understand that much. If you have an opinion on a topic, you can try meditating (or praying) and offering the matter up to God, or your Higher Self, and you might find the understanding you get back is different to your own understanding of the matter.

Peace is already in our hearts. We feel that peace when we offer it to others and to the world, and act in peaceful ways as much as we can. I’m not saying it is easy, though it is something worth cultivating. The same goes for feeling loving towards everyone and the world, and for thinking peaceful and loving thoughts about people and the world.

Wiht love and peace in our hearts, and paying attention to what seems to be the most loving thing to do in any situation, we can attempt to live life in the best way.

Spiritual Beauty More Important than Physical Beauty

Beauty is something that we see and recognise. What got me thinking about this was I had a really strong thought that I wanted to express beauty, and create beauty. I could feel the spirit of beauty and I wanted to express it in the everyday world. I could sense it like a spark inside me. I wanted to create something that held the spirit of beauty which could be experienced by others. I noticed that when I did even a simple task well, it had a lovely energy, and innumerable times, I have seen other people create or do something with beautiful energy, which to me always feels healing.

I got to thinking about other people. Immediately I could think of people who could be considered physically beautiful. Well that means there are other people who are not physically beautiful, though the distinction is in the eye of the beholder.

My train of thought moved on. Having my third eye open a bit means I don’t just get to see the physical appearance of a person, I can view the chakras and aura of a person. The chakras and aura can look beautiful, with a healthy glow, a cleanness and with the centres functioning smoothly in harmony with each other. The aura can be sleek and glow. The light emanating can be gorgeous to look at.

What is considered as physical beauty has no link to the beauty that can be seen in a fantastic energy system. Someone who is physically beautiful according to society’s version of beauty can have a really rough and grubby looking energetic system. There are people who wouldn’t fit into a fashion magazine’s approach to beauty yet their chakras and auras look amazing.

Physical beauty doesn’t have anything to do with spiritual beauty.

The looks and the body a person has is down to karma. So in one lifetime a person can be regarded as beautiful according to the fashion of the times they live in. With their karma, they get to go through a particular set of experiences on their timeline and their looks play a part in that. In other lifetimes, they have other bodies and other looks that may not be considered as beautiful by those around them.

The same goes for a person’s chakras and aura for the most part. Chakras act like a recorder of experience from lifetime to lifetime. What happens in a person’s life affects their chakras and aura. So what a person experiences affects their chakra and aura. If a woman has a lot of sexual interest from men, the men project energy into the woman’s sexual centre and other lower centres (I mention this as there have been articles and reports today in the British media about what female students experience when they go for a night out with friends).

If someone works in a dreary job that affects their centres in a different way to the effect on someone in a job they love. If they are treated well as a child as opposed to being badly treated, again the effect on the chakras and aura is different. If a person doesn’t exercise when it feels like they should, then the energy in the chakras, small as well as large, darken with slow frequency energy.

If a person lives in a city, particularly a city with an old, negative past, they will end up with a polluted energy system, contrasted with lifetimes where they live in the countryside.

How someone’s chakras and aura looks is influenced by what they experience in life and what they do, which is determined by the karma in that life. So the appearance of a person’s chakras and aura is determined by karma. (There is such a thing as opportunistic karma where a choice can be made between a path to a positive outcome, or a path to a negative outcome.)

However, if over lifetimes a person has done spiritual practices such as meditation this is going to show like a glow in a person’s energy system no matter what their karma is for a lifetime. Also, a life of service is spirituality in action, and has the same effect. On top of that, their karma might have led them to learn how to clear their energy, in which case their energy system is going to look and feel good. There are also some people who have trained lifetime after lifetime for a specific important role, and their energetic system is going to look powerful and lit up even in a dark and dangerous environment.

So what is beauty?

If you take a look at someone’s soul in creation right now… OK there can be a spark of beauty, but it’s not necessarily that amazing because of the limitations of being in creation. Backtracking to before they left the Divine Journeys to come into creation, there is a flaming quality of beauty in the soul.

In creation, through whichever spiritual practices link with a person’s karma, lifetime after lifetime, that spiritual beauty can grow. Going forward through a soul’s timeline, for just about all souls to the end of their timeline in creation when they become God-realised, the soul’s beauty is truly magnificent. And that is for all of us.

We all have that spark of spiritual beauty within us, even through our seemingly dark and negative karmic lives. It is just it’s more noticeable in our lighter lives. Plus spiritual beauty has nothing to do with a person’s physical beauty.

We can all express spiritual beauty in what we do and through our intent.

If reincarnation is true, how would you live your life?

Reincarnation cycle

The vast majority of people don’t have evidence that they ever had past lives. Only a small fraction of the population have any flashbacks or memory of previous lives. Past lives get mentioned and talked about in the media, but for most people, past lives and reincarnation are not part of their world view. Some people have explored past lives in workshops. A degree of healing can come from this as what happens in past lives (if they are true), can carry over into this lifetime. So if some grisly event occurred in a past life, it can still affect a person’s health in this one, and in future ones (if reincarnation is a fact). Then there are times when workshop goers like to hear that they were king or queen or ruler, or held an important position someplace. Though I’d say the most important lifetime a person is in is this one. In most circumstances, remembering past lives isn’t all that enjoyable. For instance, we have all had lives as animals. Nature programmes occasionally show just how cruel and painful those lives can be in a world with predators.

The concept of reincarnation isn’t strong in the Western world. The story goes that it was removed (in dubious circumstances) from what became the accepted knowledge of Christianity in the Council of Nicea. In this Council, the Roman Emperor Constantine stopped bloodshed by making the Roman Empire, Christian. Here were the beginnings of the Roman Catholic Church. Christianity then went on to shape religious and philosophical thought throughout Europe. The heritage of this was taken to other countries that European countries had dealings in. Reincarnation isn’t something people think about in places influenced by Christianity.

In the end it doesn’t matter what we believe about reincarnation, as Reality will do what Reality does. It is untouched by our beliefs or the limits of our understanding.

If reincarnation is true, then linked to this is death. Also linked is birth. Then there is karma.

In my own view of life, I take for granted the existence of Perfect Masters and the Avatar. These individuals work with creation, with karma and the lifetimes that souls reincarnated through.

There is very detailed information about reincarnation in a book called God Speaks by Meher Baba. There is a description of how a soul or dropsoul comes down from the Divine Journeys into creation. It describes how a soul taking the human path drops down to the bottom of the zeroth plane of consciousness, with literally zero consciousness, and progresses lifetime after lifetime, through gaseous then mineral lifetimes, then plant and then animal lifetimes, then the human lifetimes starting on the zeroth plane before really getting going on the first plane. At each type of life, there are approximately 8,400,000 lifetimes. With each lifetime comes an incremental increase in consciousness. (It is fair to say that a soul on the lower planes will think that they know everything, and say so. By the time they have made it up to the 5th and 6th plane, they realize they don’t actually know or understand much of life, the universe and Everything. That’s souls for you.)

Birth after birth, life after life, death after death, karma is built up (physical karma, astral karma and mental karma). In the 4th, 5th and 6th planes, the karma is worked through. Or it is burnt off by being around a Perfect Master or Avatar. In God Speaks, Sanskaras or impressions linked to lifetimes are mentioned, and that is another story.

Then eventually the soul, the person is made God Realized, and the journey back to the Source is made, and the soul has a great story to tell. After that? Probably a different adventure to go on. Souls are all about learning and becoming more.

Creation is big, so there are plenty of places to reincarnate into. We used to think that this universe was it. But now we know, theoretically at least, about the multiverse, due to string and membrane theory. That means there are many different situations in which life of various types can exist in. Present humanity on this earth doesn’t know all there is to know about life, about what is possible in a multiverse. In God Speaks it is said that there are 18,000 earths that humanity exists on. This earth though, is the only one which is physical home to the Avatar and the Perfect Masters, though their influence and work is felt throughout. We have all had lifetimes on other planets as well as this one, including human lifetimes.

With regards to reincarnating into a life, the soul places its energy into a newly forming lifeform. In humans, the soul’s energy goes into the heart centre to start with. The energy of the mother changes to accommodate the new life, and a continual and ongoing energetic communication occurs, as the baby grows, leading up to birth. This happens lifetime after lifetime. This is an absolutely massive topic to explore.

Death is also a massive topic. We have all died countless times, and there is usually huge fear in people about dying. There is a lot of healing and change to occur so that we even begin to see death as a state to go through onto the next life.

The soul usually withdraws its energy and awareness from the lifeform as it is time to move onto the next part of the journey. Sometimes the physical elemental in the physical body fights this, and holds onto the energy. Usually the heart stops and the centres close down and the soul leaves the physical body.

Before death, the third eye centre can be seen to close down in preparation. The start of this closing down can be days before. The timing is based on karma. With karma, there are three kinds. There is positive, negative and opportunistic karma. With the opportunistic karma, events can go either way; negative or positive. So some deaths are opportunistic rather than the other kinds of karma. The third eye will show the probability of death, and can reopen if the opportunistic event has gone positive. Close shaves can be like this. A death can be positive karma, as the person has fulfilled all of their karma for that lifetime, and the soul withdraws its energy so the spirit of the person can have a deserved rest on the inner planes, an esoteric cup of tea, a review of events in that lifetime, and a meet up with old friends. They then can reincarnate into their next lifetime with a new set of karma to work through.

I’ve written this in a matter of fact way. With most deaths, there is a lot of emotion. Spiritually, we can know what is happening, but the emotions are something different. For the person dying, there is often fear, even though they have done this millions of times before. The people around them often don’t want them to go. When the person does die they are badly missed by those still living, those still physically incarnate. There is grief and loss in the minds of those left behind.

When we have a connection with someone, there are energetic cordings between us and the other person, from our centres to theirs. The stronger the relationship, the stronger the cordings. When the other person leaves, the cordings start to drop away. If the other person dies, there are no centres for the cordings to get attached to. This can be traumatic on a personality level. Grief ensues.

The person dying usually sees the light and as that is so amazing in comparison to what they experience in a physical body, off they go. Sometimes the grief and the emotional attachment of those left behind binds the spirit and soul in the space around the earth making them earthbound. This is not a pleasant or ideal situation for the person who has dropped their body as they are trapped and stopped from doing what they need to. These souls need to be rescued and released, so they can move on (this is rescue work). For many people, if they were generally happy, their spirit and soul gets to reside for a while in an energetic space that matches that positive emotional nature, where it is re-experienced and drains away. This space was known about by the Buddhists who thought of it as a positive bardo state. In Christianity it was called heaven. If someone’s general state was fear, or anger, or other negative state, the soul and spirit would go to a space that matched this and helped to draw the emotions out for a while so the soul can go off to the next lifetime with a clean slate. The Buddhists think of this state as a negative bardo state, and in Christianity it would be called hell.

When it comes to people we have a relationship with of some sort in this lifetime, usually we have had at least a few lifetimes with them in some sort of relationship such as friend, enemy, sibling, parent, son /  daughter of, wife / husband, extended family member, and so on. We will have known them before.  It’s likely we will see them again in future lifetimes, too, as there are karmic links. So death ends that well known link for now, but you get to see them again.

When out of physical body, being physically alive as opposed to being a soul and spirit on the inner planes,  is not the big deal we make of it when we are in a physical body. We know there is more to that existence, we have it more in perspective. Physical life is a way of learning and developing through many lifetimes to become what we can be, which is a soul on the Divine Journeys, but knowing much more, and being more, than a soul who has not made the journey down into creation and back into the Divine.

Reincarnation is part of that process. Some distant day in the future we may understand that when someone dies that soul is going on the next part of their journey.

In the West, there are people who request funerals that are more upbeat and more of a celebration of that person and their life, rather than being a solemn affair. I do wonder how they will be when we really come to terms with reincarnation.

We create karma with all of our thoughts, feelings, words and actions. Even the act of breathing builds karma. We build physical karma, astral karma and physical karma. Any karma we create we have to balance in a later lifetime. If everyone on earth knew that what they did needed to be balanced later, would this influence how we thought about life and what we choose to do?
