Feeling God in Everything

What a night!

Every cell of my body seem to vibrate and to be full of life-energy. The nerves on my hands and fingers feel super-sensitive. My eyes are open staring at everything in amazement.

It was October 15th 1987. Several months previously I was a crashed party-animal in crisis. Now I was into spirituality and whatever helped me move on into what looked more and more like a wonderful world. I had been reading and working with a book called A Course In Miracles which contained a lesson for every day of the year. Today’s lesson was number 29, “God is in everything I see”. This made sense to me as God is everywhere. So I would look at a chair, and say to myself, “God is in this chair”. I would look at the floor and say “God is in this floor”, and so on. It all seemed quite easy and a bit of fun.

Being autumn in the Northern Hemisphere twilight started quite early. I was really getting into the lesson noticing God in everything around me, and in all the things that I could see out of the bedroom window which overlooked a park in South London with it’s grassy space and large, old trees. “God is in that tree”, “God is in the grass”, “God is in the window”.

Then the sensitivity in my nerves built up, and my body felt as if it was filled with a vibrating electricity, and I mentally went into a different mental blissed-out space. It was as if I could sense the atoms of whatever I looked at vibrating away and being filled with God, and I could connect with it.

As the evening progressed and became darker outside, the energy outside built in strength, the winds picked up speed and howled, the trees started to bend and sway impossibly. All the while the intensity of energy built and built in my body. My mind didn’t hold a single negative thought. All I could connect with was the God in everything vibrating away. In fact, there were no thoughts going through my head, all I was doing was feeling an inner peace and connecting and observing, with all senses ablaze.

Saying “God is in …” kept on transporting me deeper into this strange state of sheer wonder. Outside the wind screamed and battered the building, and the trees kept on bending one way then another.

Time went on for hours. The storm went on through the night, and my body and mind were just vibrating, with the occasional phrase of “God is in this…”.

In the midst of the storm I was so relaxed and at peace I slept.

The next morning I felt normal-ish, while remembering how I had felt last night. Internally I was happy. I went to work.

Outside was a surprise. Big trees down, signs blown down. Later estimates reported that about 15,000,000 trees in the South East of England had been blown down, in what came to be known as the Great Storm.

Spiritual Awakening and Mental Health

A year or so ago, I worked in a hospital with people who had been hospitalized due to severe mental issues.  As I started working with the patients I was shocked to see how fragmented and smashed their auras were. It was as if their auras had been shattered by the breakdown or trauma they had experienced.  Looking at their energy I could appreciate how fragile and tired they seemed, how what they had experienced had slowed their thinking and reduced their emotional responses. I could well appreciate it must take time to recover, to get better, and build up their energy, and their auras to a point where these patients would seem more solid, more grounded and more robust. I realised that some of the patients might never achieve that.

As mental health issues are more in the open now, and people are more willing to talk or write about their experiences in the media or the internet, it seemed to me that mental health is a massive and complex area of health. Observing the patients in hospital I had a sense of how devastating some mental health issues are and how this showed up in the auras of patients.

Then I knew of people who had depression because of imbalance of the body chemistry and the influence of genetics. This showed up differently in the aura compared to the people I had seen in hospital. Then I knew of people who experienced depression and PTSD because of their experiences, and how the energy of these lodged in their systems.

My own experiences of mental health issues had been minor in comparison. It happened in a period of two weeks when I was twenty. My mind seemed fragile and I just knew my thinking was really not right and a bit crazy. I dealt with that by just keeping life as simple as I could. The episode passed.

In my late twenties, after I had found out about spirituality, a healer who gave readings looked down my timeline and said I would experience a dark period later in the year. When it started several months later, it was like everything looked and felt black and depressing. It was difficult to describe how my mind felt, the closest I could get was that it was lacking in joy, it just felt grim and black, without a happy thought, and depressed. Even though I felt that way, having been warned earlier, I knew this period would end, so for a few months, daily I made myself visualize several goals I had decided on earlier. I made myself exercise and go for walks. I felt like I was processing my way through darkness. After a few months, the dark period lifted, as if I had walked out of a tunnel.  The joy of life came back.

I have read a lot on social media about people discover spirituality for the first time, who have an “awakening”, then go on to experience depression, and in some cases, anxiety.

In the 1990’s I read a couple of books called Esoteric Psychology I and II. They were written by Alice Bailey who wrote many books to do with spirituality with a spiritual Tibetan guide between 1919 and 1949. She wrote that in the future as more spiritual energy came in and people opened up to spirituality, there would be new issues to do with mental health. At the time of reading I was surprised by this, but I get the drift of this more now. If new energy comes into chakras it can create effects in the mind, emotions and physical body, some of which can be difficult to deal with. I could see that if a person suddenly realises that what they thought about life and how it happens wasn’t true, and that life happens a different way, this can be extremely difficult for the mind to cope with. Gone is a sense of what a person can rely on, and gone is the identity they had built up. If there is nothing to replace it, then that is really hard for the mind, and the emotions to cope with.

This kind of mental illness shows up differently in a person’s energy, and has a cause to do with spiritual energy, and an event, called an “awakening”, as far as I can make out. This kind of mental health issue can be dealt with.

This kind of thing happened as well in the 1980’s and the 1990’s. But the culture was very different in the spiritual world. It was expected that at times on a person’s spiritual journey that things would get a little crazy, but there was a lot of support. Looking back, I realised that everyone that I knew that was going on their individual spiritual path looked after themselves because pursuing health wellbeing was all wrapped up in the idea of spiritual growth. People were careful what they ate, how they looked after their body, and even then hydration was a big thing. For emotional health it was normal to get some therapeutic help. For mental health and support people would read books, and I’m amazed when I look at today’s spirituality best seller lists they contain a lot of the same books I read back then. People also went to groups to learn and practise healing and therapeutic techniques, and meditation and movement disciplines. There was a lot of physically meeting up. People looked after themselves and each other. In those years depression just wasn’t something that happened because someone became spiritual.

What happened at the 11:11 Harmonic Convergence in Glastonbury, England, 1987, typified it for me.  The spiritual energy was high, and affected people in different ways, including triggering issues and painful feelings and thoughts for a few people. But there was a lot of support the whole time. There were meditation groups, there were healing groups, massage, crystals and therapy available. There was good quality vegetarian food. There were places for people to gather. There was a lot of nurturing support. People were looking after each other spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically, on the Tor and in the town. And it was an amazing experience.

That was the way to do spirituality; with physical, emotional, mental and spiritual support.

Over 30 years on, this kind of support is the way a spiritual awakening and spiritual journey can be a happy experience and I think the crucial aspect is people getting together physically.  Depression and anxiety brought on in the “awakening” process can be improved this way with the right support.

What astrological sign are you? I’m Aquarius … Moon conjunct Aries, Mars trine Venus.

When it comes to astrology, your personal qualities and what your life is like, you can go for the simple stuff (All Libras are like this …) or you can go for something much more accurate and in-depth. You can get an astrological chart done. There will be plenty of information on your chart that is just right for you.

People’s ideas on astrology usually come from the horoscope pages in magazines and starter spiritual websites. But there is so much more to it than this.

The time, date and place of your birth can be factored in to create an accurate map of the energies and influences around at the time of your birth. Your chart can show up your qualities, your personality, and your approach to things like communication, finances and relationships, and give you guidelines for health. So that is for you.

If you are in a relationship, a good quality astrologer will be able to draw both your charts and compare them to find out what your relationship is like or going to be like. You can use this information to help you with your relationship, and to bring out the best in it.

Astrology can also be used, like a map, to show you key astrological events such as planetary conjunctions, or opposition of planets, and how the energy coming in influences world events and our lives generally.

Should you like to find out more, there are some great websites to take a look at such as Kaypacha on newparadigmastrology.com  and also on Youtube and facebook. There are other people doing charts and readings. A good starting point to learn more about astrology would be http://www.astrologers.com  for the USA, and theastrologicalsociety.co.uk. Other countries might have their own groups.

There are plenty of books available. You could look at books such as Teach Yourself Astrology by J. Mayo and Astrology and its Practical Application by E. Parker as two examples.

As for date of death, I once read about a man who went for an astrological reading in India. After doing his chart the astrologer was shocked and annoyed and said he couldn’t be who he said he was because he should have been dead. He was a devotee of the Avatar, Meher Baba (more information to be found on the Internet and in books), and Meher Baba had changed his karma so he would still be alive as her was doing useful work. The Avatar and Perfect Masters can change a person’s karma that they were born with in whatever way they want. An astrological chart though, can still be useful, a lot more useful than a horoscope page.

Spirituality, loneliness, meeting people, and community

When someone suddenly (and it is often suddenly) discovers they are a spiritual being, and that life is something different to what they thought it was, and there is love, energy, synchronicities and little and large miracles, and perhaps they find out about karma and reincarnation, and their heart awakens and opens, something they didn’t expect happens.

People around them, their family and friends, don’t share their new outlook on life and what it means to be alive. They can often react in bemused, or unfriendly or hostile ways. Old friends might drop  away. Family might become distant and critical.

The person who has woken up to love in their heart and a new way of perceiving life becomes alone and often lonely. They don’t have anyone to share their worldview and their life with.

I read this often on spiritual groups on social media. I will usually post a response. The last response I wrote on this topic was this:

“Physical spiritual community is a good idea. Why not set up an fb page for people in your area (20 mile radius) who think spirituality is important. Find out who lives in your area, tell health food stores and such places about your page and your desire to set up a group so spiritual people can get together. Then get some actual meet ups going; walks, meeting in a cafe, full moon meditations, a sharing session (good idea to have an item that the person talking gets to hold to indicate it’s them talking), introducing a favourite spiritual book meeting, and so on. Also go on courses or go to talks.”

I realise that in some countries the nearest neighbouring place could be over a hundred or more miles away. To get closer to kindred souls might mean moving.  If I had had a spiritual transformation in my home town I might have been unhappy. However, I had spirituality crash into me when I was living in London in the nineteen eighties (no internet, and people had to connect physically), so I was lucky. There was plenty of spiritual stuff going on and I could go on courses, do T’ai Chi, do meditation, go to talks, and get to meet people, and it was a really fun, creative time, and there was plenty of mutual support.

People now have the internet to help them connect, and with a will, it is possible to meet people, rather than just look at a screen.

Beyond Enlightenment

Enlightenment is a word that crops up quite a bit in online groups, with quite a few people claiming they are enlightened.

When people experience a rapid spiritual growth, which some people call an awakening whereas other would say they are merely rubbing their eyes, a veil is taken away so those people get to experience the world in a way they never suspected existed. It is as if they step into a new world which operates in a different way to their old world. There is more to this though than meets the (waking) eye.

There are Planes of Consciousness that humanity exists on. These are the zeroth plane, the first plane, the second, and third planes. Then there are the fourth, the fifth and the sixth Planes of Consciousness.

The zeroth, first, second and third planes are the planes where people create karma. The light and energy on the zeroth plane is very slow. There is some astral light, but no mental light. On the first plane the light is a bit quicker and the karma on this plane is different to the zeroth plane, and there is more astral light and a small amount of mental light. On the second plane there is astral light and more mental light than the first, and the spirit of the people, like on the lower planes, is mostly focused outwards away from the inner planes. The third plane is the one where the spirit turns inwards to place its awareness on the inner planes and on God in a solid way. There is more mental light here and less astral. The fourth plane is a very potent plane with mental light and power, which may be used in the outer, physical world. There can a big focus on the inner planes and God. The fifth plane is filled with mental light, and karma is worked through here and not created. Awareness of the spirit and also the personality is automatically focused inside, on God. The sixth plane is also mental light and is even brighter. Again karma is worked through to balance it, so the positive karma balances the negative karma, more or less, and is very much reduced in amount. This is a place of spiritual dreams which is easy to become lost in without a guide, and the focus is on the inner planes and God rather than the external world and material life.

We have on average 8,400,000 lives as a human. We start off in the zeroth plane. We live, experience life, and achieve a tiny incremental increase in consciousness, and then we die. Next lifetime, we start off at a slightly higher level of consciousness than the previous life. The process of reincarnation goes on and on. As it does, our level of consciousness keeps on increasing. It keeps on doing this all up the planes, and the consciousness of someone on the sixth plane is very different to the level of consciousness they had when they were on the zeroth plane all those millions of lifetimes ago. Over the many lifetimes, we build up our ability to handle the light. Someone on the sixth plane could not have been able to handle the light and energy that they are immersed in now, when they were on the zeroth, or first, second and third planes, and in fact all the way up including the fifth.

As part of this increase of consciousness that comes from experiencing and learning from Life (which is an expression of God), there are times when our karma that we have arranged to work with before incarnating, includes having a veil of awareness removed so we partially see a bit more of what Life is really about. There are many veils to be removed, and as each one is removed we get to see into Life deeper and deeper. These veils are removed at points as we go through our many, many lives. In a life when the plan is to remove a veil to move us along our spiritual path, our guide or guides decides on the best timing to do this, taking into account our mind and our personality’s ability to handle losing one old version of reality, and replacing it with a new version, as it can be quite stressful for a mind. This new perception helps us to see the reality we live in, the new dream we live in, in a more spiritual way.

A veil removed in the zeroth or first plane will enable the person to experience the light on those planes, and the information, knowledge and understanding in it, but not help them to experience what is on the higher planes. Building that experience is a step by step by step process over the many lifetimes.

Occasionally someone who has a veil removed and experiences an awakening, or really a mini-awakening, will experience reality in a new way, and feel different and say they are enlightened. But really there are many veils to be removed over many lifetimes. The notion of enlightenment needs to be put into perspective. No matter where anyone is on the path, there is always more to learn and experience.

When a person has made it up to near the top of the sixth Plane of Consciousness usually (or occasionally the fifth) and so there karma is nearly balanced and much reduced, a Perfect Master will make that person God-realised. They unshackle the consciousness from being in the Illusion of Creation, wake up the soul and the consciousness, and place it in Universal consciousness. They make it aware of God, and the soul’s true reality. Usually the physical body is dropped at this point as it is no longer needed unless that person have a role to fulfil down here in physical Creation.

This is a big awakening, and the new level of light and love coming through gives a new understanding and knowing (and spiritual common sense), but there is more.

The Divine is made up of Divine Journeys, each infinitely big compared to the one before, each with brighter and more intense love and light, each being an aspect of God who is Infinite. Once on the Divine Journeys, a soul can journey through the increasing levels of love and light, further and further along the Divine Journeys. All the way to God in its highest form.

With each Divine Journey comes new awareness and learning and change. New enlightenment if you like. What happens at the end of the journey? You would have to be there to find out.

As for removal of the veils at this present time, it is quite an event for a number of reasons. There are cycles of Ages. In this Age that we live in, the Kali Yuga Age is the darkest and slowest one, where souls get to rest and digest the light they have previously experienced, normally not a lot goes on. But it looks like God has decided to speed things up a bit, as the last Avatar, Meher Baba instigated a plan of massive change, with a huge input of spiritual energy, to speed things up a lot. He indicated he had made all the major decisions for the next 1,200 years, and set the timeline for the next 3,000 years. The five Perfect Masters are making sure this is happening, and also, the first Divine Journey is actually coming down into Creation and down the planes. It should take about 1,200 years for it to reach the bottom of the zeroth Plane of Consciousness. This will bring about thorough change in the world, in the Universe, and in Creation. What is more, the second and the third Divine Journey are due to come into Creation as well and this should take 3,000 years to complete. Life will be completely different to how we experience it now, and humanity will have changed hugely as well, with a great many more chakras than it has now.

The first Divine Journey can be considered as being like gold light, and a type of Divine Love that can be thought of as Unconscious Bliss. Think of bubbles of gold light falling down the Planes of Consciousness, falling into peoples’ hearts and minds, carrying tremendous energy, bliss, inspirational and creative thoughts and dreams, which generally shake things Up and move everything forward. There are Divine guides like personal trainers for everyone which are very different to previous guides so it is useful to forget everything you think you know about guides, because they won’t be like that. It is “All Change”.

Then there are souls incarnating from now on that are more awake than the souls currently down here, who will be bringing about more change and carrying a lot of energy.

Additionally, humanity is having its third eye opened, and an increase in consciousness in humanity is taking place for everyone. More chakras are being placed in humans, which means new ways of living, doing and being, as the new sixth Root Race starts up since the old fifth Root Race, the Aryan Root Race, is coming to an end. Hence the fragmentation of human life nowadays and general breakdown, chaos, change and new beginnings.

This is definitely an amazing and interesting time to be alive on this singularly unique planet out of all the possible planets to incarnate into, in a human life.

Hopefully this puts the notion of enlightenment into context. Learning and spiritual development into who and what you are as a soul happens through the process of Life and God-realisation. The concept of “enlightenment” is pointless, empty and has a lot of glamour, and is best forgotten. Best to focus on doing what feels right and loving to keep moving and learning on your spiritual path.

Just so you know, you can use your innate, spiritual abilities to check out concepts that you come across, and you can check out what people say. Using your third eye or your intuition, you might like to take a look at the concept of “enlightenment”, the one found in the New Age world.  To me it looks all grey and mushy. There is nothing to it, just a lot of astral and mental energy that people have fed it with. When a thoughtform is like that, it is best to disregard it and find what looks and feel true, filled with love and light.

Footnote:

If you are interested, there is a wonderful map of how souls progress through the planes of consciousness and through the Divine Journeys and their states of mind or Mind in “God Speaks” by Meher Baba. There is also a tremendous amount of other high quality information in it (and amazing energy). If you feel drawn to get this book, it is definitely a good idea to get it.

Masters; how to tell a real one

When we get interested in spirituality, when we wake up to it, we sometimes want direction and some teaching, or more waking up (which is possible). We want a spiritual teacher or a Master.

There are different kinds of masters or Masters. To get a feel for this topic it helps to know about the planes of consciousness in Creation and a soul’s place in all this, so here is a brief explanation.

Souls come down from the Divine, from what we can call God, into Creation. Most souls when they come down up until now were a bit sleepy or asleep, but with the potential for infinite consciousness. Souls are not usually aware of what’s going on in that place called Creation. The souls after a while drop down to the bottom-most part of Creation, which is the bottom of the zeroth (0th) plane of consciousness. The spiritual light on the zeroth plane is dark and slow, and consciousness is extremely limited, literally zero at the bottom of the zeroth plane. The soul has gone from infinite consciousness to zero consciousness.

There are other planes of consciousness. The first plane, where the spiritual light is a bit brighter and a bit quicker than on the zeroth plane. Then the second plane where the light is brighter still and even quicker and so consciousness is more expanded. Then there are the third plane, the fourth plane, the fifth plane, and the sixth plane where the spiritual light is very bright and intense white light, and where consciousness of the soul is very expanded. Then there is the huge gap in consciousness to the Divine Journeys which are part of God.

Souls start off at the bottom of the zeroth plane in the mineral kingdom with virtually no consciousness. Then lifetime after lifetime they reincarnate back into mineral form and each time there is a minute increment in consciousness. Eventually still in the zeroth plane, the soul incarnates into a lifeform that is in the plant kingdom with a slightly higher level of consciousness for the soul to gain experience of life there. After many lifetimes in the plant kingdom, gaining consciousness and experience, and still in the zeroth plane, the soul incarnates as an animal in the animal kingdom. The soul dies and is born again and again in through reincarnation, each time having a lifeform with a minutely higher degree of consciousness. Eventually the soul takes a sub-human form, and then, still in the zeroth plane, the soul takes a human form.

The soul has a consciousness that is still limited. This consciousness minutely increases lifetime after lifetime until the soul goes up to the bottom of the first plane of consciousness. Eventually, eventually, the soul reincarnates and increases its experience of Life and its consciousness, as it goes all the way up to the top of the sixth plane. Here, the soul’s consciousness is very expanded, and it’s a place where karma can be easily balanced, prior to God realisationship. This is when the soul goes onto the Divine Journeys.

A person whose soul is on the sixth plane will have a far greater degree of consciousness than a soul on the zeroth or the first or the second plane for instance (and the third, fourth and fifth planes). A person with sixth plane souls (and fifth plane souls) are very unlikely to say they are enlightened, have special powers or authority etc. They have experienced enough of Life to realise there is so much more to learn, and they appreciate the absolutely massive gulf between where they are now and the level of consciousness and other qualities that are there for God-realised souls on the Divine Journeys.

Usually for souls it is one way traffic from the zeroth plane to the sixth plane. However, if someone abuses the enormous power they have available to them on the fourth plane they can get dropped down to lower down the fourth plane, or lower, including right back down to the bottom of the zeroth plane, back to a mineral life again! People on higher planes can also be dropped. The Avatar had dropped one soul down from the sixth plane to the second so they would have millions more lives of experience to make them more useful to the Avatar when they met again (this happen to a person called Eruch who served Meher Baba). Having more experience of life than the normal can also be useful for spiritual teachers or people called Perfect Masters. Having more lives, they understand more about Life, which makes them more effective and helpful to other souls.

The main Master is the Avatar who comes down to earth every 400 to 700 years in major and in minor incarnations ( Krishna, Ram, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed (though he said he was only a prophet), and Meher Baba who dropped his body in 1969). Many of the incarnations are ones where they keep a low profile. Even in the major incarnations they will only gather around them a small number of close followers to be involved in the work, even though they may make contact or be seen by large numbers of people as they do their work.

The Avataric work involves altering the timelines of creation and humanity to get them back on track, and for the spiritual advancement of all souls in creation. He said he had come to awaken people and not teach as we had been given plenty of words already. He would communicate to people, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. This time around, he made all the major decisions for the next three thousand years, and altered the timelines in his universal work. There are accounts of his work in a series of books called “Lord Meher” and these can be read free online. He worked with ordinary people, in the East and the West, he worked with Masts (God intoxicated people who care only for God and who are like spiritual generators), and undertook other types of spiritual work. The work around the time of the Second World War is quite illuminating. There are videos of Meher Baba and of people with first hand experience of him online, along with old, reliable websites should you want to get an idea how a Master can work.

To help the Avatar when they are not on earth, there have always been five Perfect Masters. These hold the qualities of Bliss, Wisdom, Knowledge, Truth and Power. Whereas the Avatar has access to all the Divine Journeys in their system, the Perfect Masters used to have access to the first, second and third Divine Journeys. As these are infinitely big, that is a lot of energy they can work with to bring into Creation to make changes.

The Perfect Masters have infinite consciousness, are aware of creation as Illusion as they are aware of Reality. They are at the centre of creation and of each being in creation. Every moment they are doing universal work.

There are 51 other people on this planet who are God-realized, whose consciousness is on the lower Divine Journeys. Some of these can have a role like a saint or a Master, and they have access to Divine Journey energy and light. An example of this is Mother Meera in Germany, who brings through the Paramatman Light. God-realized people have access to Divine guides who help them in their work, especially the Perfect Masters.

Archangels are sixth plane and angels are fifth plane, and the Perfect Masters as aspects of God, and being on the Divine Journeys, have the authority to direct the Archangels and angels. Also, importantly, being infinite, they can handle the full mental energy of the Archangels and angels without dropping their physical bodies.

There is a gigantic gap in consciousness between the Divine Journeys and the planes of consciousness in creation. So there is a massive gap in energy and quality of knowledge. What we call masters on the sixth, fifth, fourth planes and so on, only have access to the energy, light (mental or astral) and knowledge on their plane or lower planes.

Some energies and abilities on some planes can look spectacular. For instance, the energy on the third plane can be used by saints on the third plane or higher to perform what would be called minor miracles, such as creating perfume as they rub their fingers together, or getting ash to grow out of statues. This is energy, not spirituality. Spirituality  is about a person’s connection with God. When someone has that connection, miracles like that are meaningless.

There is a way a person can have higher plane energy flowing through them. A person in everyday life, or someone who has a saint or a master role, can be overshadowed by a Perfect Master. This means the Perfect Master can flow energy through the person and get work done depending on the strength of the person’s energy system. Perfect Masters will also work through their agents who are placed on different planes, though these agents won’t necessarily seem like masters, and in fact may look very ordinary, so the work gets done without any fuss or glamour.

A person may also be overshadowed by a being on the inner planes and bring through teachings and energy. So someone on the second plane could be overshadowed on the inner planes by another person on the fifth plane. Or they could be overshadowed by a guide on the inner planes who passes through energy and information. Though the energy and information from a fifth plane or sixth plane being or guide won’t be of the same standard as from a Perfect Master. Someone on the zeroth, or first or second plane might think it is great, and they could still get some energy or healing from it because it is from a higher plane and will speed up their karma a bit.

But if a person has been around a God-realized being, or a Perfect Master, or if they are old enough to have been around the Avatar, they would know there is a Universe of difference between the energy and teaching of someone on the Divine Journeys, and someone on the planes of consciousness. Still, got to start somewhere, and someone carrying out the master role might in many lifetimes end up being a Perfect Master.

The whole thing about finding a spiritual teacher or a master is a tricky business. People who want spiritual direction and who want a teacher are putting their trust in someone they don’t know, and as learners, they are likely not to be able to know what to look for in a teacher. Some teachers are good and loving, with good intentions. Some teachers are in it for motives other than being loving and compassionate to the people who have put their faith in them. It might be for power, for money, for control, for sex, or to boost their own ego. Or the person could be overshadowed by a being or entity on the inner planes who sounds plausible, but is actually twisted and bringing through energy that damages or ensnares and controls. (I experienced this with some people pretending to teach about angels. I wrote about it on my blog. I did get out of the situation when I realized I was feeling wrong.)

Then some masters are on higher planes of consciousness than others, so they can bring through a higher vibration of energy, and bring through a higher quality of knowledge, truth and wisdom and bliss. Then there are masters who are beyond the planes of consciousness on the Divine Journeys such as the Perfect Masters, who bring through Divine Light and Love, and Infinite Intelligence.

In life we connect up with people, including potential spiritual teachers and masters because of karma. We will have met them before in some context in one or more previous lives. Our karma is there to give us experience, and sometimes we need the lesson that being with someone gives us, until we have learned the lesson and no longer require the connection.

In life, knowing how to discern what is right or good for us really helps. Some people have a gut instinct and follow it. Some people have a good intuition, or a very helpful guide, or they have an open third eye and can look at the energy of potential situations and their timelines to help them make good choices. So they choose the right person to learn from. If a person is vulnerable, it is easy for them to be pushed into something unsafe, though. The easiest trick in the world is to make them feel special and loved, but ensnare them.

There is a lot of choice out there. People can make a karmic connection, and still check out the potential teacher or master. Here is a way. Imagine going through their energy to their heart centre. Imagine how it feels, looks, smells like and sounds like. If all seems good, then wonderful. Let that help you make a choice.

How many chakras do you have? (updated)

(I updated and added new material after a request for information about chakras.)

The view of most people interested in chakras or centres is that there are seven main ones. If you look at diagrams on the Internet you will usually view a person seated in a lotus position with seven coloured or patterned circles representing their chakras.

Was this always the case? Will it always be this way?

Chakras or centres help us interact with the energies of the world and Universe around us, and spiritual energies that come in that can continually change us. For example, the heart centre is the one the soul forms first, and it can receive and send out love, as well as receive and host some divinely inspired energies. The third eye (which is opening for everyone so we can all be clairvoyant – which is a bit of a mixed blessing as we get to see the unpleasant stuff as well as the lovely) helps us to interact with information from our universe. The base centre, which is so essential for literally rooting us into the earth, and providing the solid grounding needed for spiritual life. The sexual centre is about creativity and mostly procreation, and ownership (why there is possessivenous as in having a possession when someone has a sexual partner). The throat centre is about expression and communication. The crown centre at the top of the head in the seven chakra system is about spirituality and having spiritual energy and information. The solar plexus is concerned with emotions and is linked to thinking. It is also the body’s brain (while the personality mind is in the head). It is involved in sending out emotional energy and receiving it. The lower three centres, the base, the sexual centre and the solar plexus, are the ones most easily targetted with negative energy as they are the oldest. There are other centres.

Centres are important to focus on in meditation, as keeping them functioning and in a pristine state are essential to spiritual development and so how we express ourselves in life.

In people, the centres are large or small depending on how active they are, and are bright or dark depending on what the people think or get up to. People who use tinder or grindr for example, can develop quite black sexual centres which shows the energy that is building up in their sexual centre. This is linked to a build up of timelines in the sexual centre and the colour of the centre reflects the type of karma that is being built up that will need to be balanced in future lives.

I should put up a meditation to check out the colour of a person’s heart centre which gives a good reflection on their character. You can then check out people you come across, and it’s educational to take a look at the people on the TV. Once I found myself in a conference of people involved in the arms trade (long story, that). There were more than a few black hearts and some bats wings which indicated dark lodge status. They were an interesting mob.

A lot of the new children coming in have very bright centres, as they land on this earth to bring about some required changes.

The number of centres we require changes as time in Creation goes on. This is due to the process that creation is going through, and because the frequency and the types of energy we need to assimilate change.

There have been five root races of humanity going back into the dim and distant past. The first one was the Adamic root race, which was essentially etheric (plus astral) rather than physical, with a base centre and a sexual centre. Next came the Hypoborean, which would have had an additional solar plexus centre. Then came the Lemurian root race, then the Atlantean root race. Not sure how many centres they had but I think the Lemurian could be telepathic, so that means they would have the heart centre, the throat centre, and the third eye at least. Possibly not the crown centre at the top of the head, because the Atlanteans showed they weren’t very good at spiritual direction, in that they got it wrong and ended up being wiped out in what is biblically called the Great Flood. (There are also sub-root races that incarnate usually to get specific things to happen in various parts of the world.) After the Atlanteans  the root race which then came in was the Aryan root race, named after a group of people that developed in northern India. This root race had the full seven major chakras that can been seen depicted in old pictures of chakras. Meditation techniques developed in Buddhism and the spiritual practices in India were well suited to this kind of chakra system.

This fifth root race, the Aryan root race is coming to an end. There is an energetic push to bring this to completion. This means fragmentation in societies, both global and national, upheaval, uncertainty as things break up and timelines suddenly seem to dissipate and end, emotional upheaval. What is coming in is the sixth root race, and new timelines are starting with new energy. Sixth root race people have at least one hundred chakras or centres, whether they are aware of them or not. This means they can take in and receive as well as give out a bigger range of energy than the Aryan root race humans. They can process energy and emotions and thought in new ways, and handle more spiritual energies. The sixth root race is the next step in humanity. To put it into perspective though, there will be, in the distant future, a seventh root race, and further into the future, an eight root race, and so on, Each root race will be able to handle more spiritual energy than the root race before and will have even more chakras or centres, and they will most likely call them something different by then, and may not even have to have a physical, sound based language, but might be telepathic. Humanity will evolve energetically, and in how their body looks.

How do chakras or centres appear or come about? The change makers in the world, and in creation are the five Perfect Masters, and these beings are responsible for making changes, following the plans of the Avatar who incarnates every 400 to 700 years in major and minor incarnations.

Doing the meditations presented on the blog, the gold, white and blue light ones for example, will open up your new centres. Have fun.

Spiritual Awakenings and Your Spiritual Journey

“Spiritual Awakening” crops up on social media in spirituality groups quite a bit, but what is it? There are plenty of answers, and it depends who answers.

Years ago I read some books published by Lucis Trust which were written in around the 1920’s. They were channelled books about spirituality and they went into very great detail on a lot of topics. They weren’t an easy read but they were interesting and you had to concentrate hard. Those were different times to how we take in information on social media.

One point that was made was that people are at different stages of spiritual development. Some are beginners, then there are novices, then there are adepts, and then masters, with levels in between. A very simple analogy could be the system of coloured belts that exist in various martial arts disciplines to show the different levels of expertise. In spirituality there are lots of levels, and it helps to also consider reincarnations.

Life, from the very first physical life, through the very many reincarnations, to the last life is a spiritual journey of developing consciousness. From being totally unconscious to moving into Universal Mind (or Infinite Mind) upon achieving God-realization. There are lots of stages along the way.

A person will be somewhere along their spiritual journey, whether they are a beginner in terms of their spiritual development, or a novice and so on. In the early stages of their life they may, or they may not, show a leaning towards spirituality.

Beings on the inner planes will be able to have a sense of a person’s spiritual level or aptitude, as they can easily read the aura, the chakras and any glow of light that person is giving out.

When the timing is right and the opportunity is there, these beings on the inner planes can give an energetic nudge, or a blast of energy, and really wake up the person to a new way of feeling, thinking and of viewing themselves and the world. Sometimes the inner plane beings can be gentle, or take advantage of an event in a person’s life, or whack some energy in to cause a crisis and really shove the person towards a change of life and a change of awareness.

The person has a spiritual awakening.

In some lives, that are rest lives, it doesn’t happen. But to take one of the very many steps up in spiritual consciousness is a spiritual awakening. In all the lifetimes that a person has they will increase their level of consciousness many, many times. That means they will have many, many spiritual awakenings.

To do it in one jump would be too much, the person would absolutely not be able to handle the energy, never mind the massive, gigantic change in perception and thinking. Besides, the soul would miss out on all that experience, and the journey is as important to savour as the end result. Though is that really the end result? Cycles within cycles, within cycles. There is always more.

In this lifetime, I think back to the awakening I had as I learnt T’ai Chi to deal with a relative’s death. I learnt about energy, myself and life in a new way. My life changed and there grew more distance between myself and old friends while I made new friendships (all according to my karma).

Some strange and dark dreams, an emotional breakdown accompanied by a physical clearing that I won’t go into, and a dive into various therapies led the way to another shift in awareness. I tried to absorb some spiritual concepts into my life and into my thinking. Again, there was a shift away from an old life, and old way of thinking, into a new life, and new thinking.

I had been reading a book called “A Course in Miracles” and using the daily lessons. I was still doing T’ai Chi which I think is truly fantastic and still do every now and again. I was between flats and staying in a spare room at a friend’s shared house. The other people took heroin and were more interested in that than looking after the place, which was grubby with a kitchen sink that had life evolving in it. I felt depressed. I had been reading a book that went on about seeing the beauty of God in things, which contrasted vividly with the place I was staying in. I thought about some of the things that I had seen that I thought were beautiful. I thought about the sunshine on a beach, snow covered countryside and falling snowflakes, I thought about the morning sun on a girlfriend’s hair. I thought about God being in these situations. And then I thought, “If I can see these things that God is in, then that means that God is inside me”. Immediately my life and my world fell upside down, or right side up. It was like a physical shock wave going through me. I smiled, and in that smile was the feeling of so much joy, of so much love, and peace and wonderment. My heart opened.

The next day at a T’ai Chi class in a break, the instructor was talking and asking us what we did for a living out of curiosity. When she asked me, I said that I didn’t know, that I felt I wasn’t sure any more. She looked at me as if I was some kind of fool, so I recounted what had happened the night before. She smiled and laughed and gave me a big hug, saying I had found something very important.

A couple of months after, and I had still been reading “A Course in Miracles” and doing the daily lessons I had an experience on the London Underground. I was sat in the carriage looking at the people and thinking “God is in you and God is in me”. I then thought “I am in you and you are in me” (because God was in me and the other passengers). The carriage filled with white light that seared through me. That evening in my flat, I was in a light filled state, feeling like each cell in my body was vibrating. I looked at objects in turn, saying, quite spontaneously, things like “God is in this chair”, or “God is in this table… window… tree” and so on. The flat looked out over a park and there was a great storm which swayed the huge trees and felled many, and I was vibrating, filled with light, and everything seemed to be filled with vibrating God as well. I was as high as a kite with this energy. I was truly white-lighted, spiritually drunk. It took me years to come back down to earth.

There have been many incremental awakenings since and some new style meditation techniques have played their part. Some awakenings were big, some small, but not so big that the energy blew my head off, though one time I went so high I could feel my heart beat becoming irregular and I had to make a massive effort to stay in my body, not drop my body and physically die, and get my roots down deep into the ground.

Spiritually awakening bit by bit is fine with me.
